Saks Fifth Avenue Key to the Cure Kickoff – Fashion icon Tommy Hilfiger and his wife, luxury handbag designer Dee Ocleppo Hilfiger, are coming to the city for this event. The evening will also honor the “2014 Class of CancerForward Houston Forward Movers” – eight civic leaders who are cancer survivors. Guests will enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres over live entertainment and a showing of Saks’ newest fashion trends. Bayoutopia – The Perfect Place to Be – What better way to fete the Bayou Preservation Association than on the banks of Buffalo Bayou? The 15th annual gala will be held in Michael and Natasha Bleyzer’s Memorial home, which has been featured on the American Institute of Architects Tour. The evening will include live music by Lainey and the Tramps and culinary concoctions by Tony’s. When: Oct. 15, 2014. Where: Michael and Natasha Bleyzer’s homes on the banks of the bayou. Call of the Wild Celebration and Gala – Proceeds from this gourmet dinner and evening of entertainment will support a summer camp for children and teens with seizures, statewide clinics that offer free medical care, a fitness program for adults with epilepsy and seizure first aid education for school staff, students and the general public. Rue Des Bourbon - A Night in the Quarter Gala – Let the good times roll at this black-tie optional party inspired by the Big Easy! Art League Gala: Found & Profound – The evening begins with cocktails and music by Flash Gordon Parks, followed by dinner and dancing to the grooviest DJ in town – A Fistful of Soul. Project Row Houses 20th Anniversary Gala: This gala will celebrate 20 years for the nonprofit Project Row Houses. Guests will be greeted with live percussion music and cocktails before they embark on a path through the property.  When attendees arrive at the Inner Courtyard, hors d’oeuvres will be served, followed by dinner. Hall of Fame Gala –Raise a glass to the influential leaders who will be inducted into the Greater Houston Women's Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame during this event, which also includes a raffle, auction board and dinner. Jubilee of Dance Onstage Dinner –Houston Ballet launches its first-ever onstage dinner, immediately following the Jubilee of Dance performance. Celebrated American ballerina Julie Kent, a principal dancer with New York’s American Ballet Theatre, will make a special guest appearance. Houston Ballet will also pay tribute to beloved first soloist Kelly Myernick, who is retiring after 14 years with the company. Messengers of Love: 2014 Christmas Charity Gala – Dine in style at this gala, which includes a delicious eight-course wedding style meal and wine bar.
